Sit back, relax & welcome to the Harrison world
Welcome to the daily happenings of the Harrison Family. It's crazy here, but we have a lot of fun. Mamma is clearly a little out numbered by the male species in the house, but it sure keeps things interesting. In our lives, you'll find lots of bugs, blocks, trucks, loud banging, clanging, running, hurdling off couches and beds, endless amounts of energy, no sleep, laughter from the belly, boo-boos, trips to the dr, walks to the park, did i mention no sleep? We hope you enjoy the ride as much as we do.
Happy Halloween!!!
Here we are dressed up and ready to walk the streets and fill our bags full of CANDY!!! The boys each chose their costume this year and were so excited to wear them! Even little Brooks got in on the action... it was such great weather that we all strolled together. We met up with Auntie Cole and Beck and the rest of the Healey gang.
Brady's preschool Halloween party and parade
Just wanted to show a little of Brady at his preschool. The kids got to dress up for a parade and march around one of their playgrounds for all the parents to ooooh and ahhhhh! We were so proud of our little darth vader! His class of 8 had a little party too... crafts, yummy halloween sprinkled donuts and a little 'pin the witch on the broom'.
Happy Birthday Brooks!
Oct 25th, at 7:33AM, Brooks Matthew Harrison was born. He weighed in at a healthy 6 pounds 12oz. Let me first start by saying what an incredible experience it was to labor and deliver Brooks. I had wanted a drug free birth (tried previously with Breck and caved last minute for the damn epidural- HATED it) and with Brooks, this was achieved. I keep getting asked WHY??? like I'm a loon... nope, not a loon just something I had researched and desired for several years. I have lots of reasons for wanting a drug free birth, but it definitely was NOT because I wanted a challenge or wanted to show how tough I was! HA... on the contrary, I'm not very tough at all, but really wanted a birth without interventions that could possibly lead to heart decelerations with Brooks or to a c section. I wanted my baby to be alert as possible without any drugs in his system and I also wanted to experience this spectacular gift that God gave women! I used my hypnobabies tools which helped incredibly and the nurse I had was outstanding (thank you amy jones) and really helped me through every moment. I'm still in awe at what our bodies do ON THEIR OWN... I'm so thankful that I was able to do this and really be in the moment when Brooks entered this world. It was the GREATEST experience ever!
Brooks said hello to us with a loud cry and open eyes. When I saw him, it was like I always knew him....can't believe how much bigger my heart grew in a nanosecond.
My recovery was ridiculously fast and was up and walking before i even left the delivery room. The Harrison house is now one more boy strong!

Beautiful Boy
My gorgeous love...
That time of year.., TX State Fair time!
I seriously can't believe how quick the state fair rolled around this year. Sort of seems like we were just here last year pulling the boys in the wagon. Things are a bit different this year, for one I'm 9 months pregnant and have to pee every 10 steps, two... the boys are no longer in the wagon, and three... the boys have their own desires and wants at the fair... we no longer just drag them where we want to go! The weather was nice... sunny and warm, the food was fried and delicious, and Brian and I really had a great time watching the boys fall in love with the state fair! It's just one more tradition that I can't live without!
Where it all begins...
That's right folks, first stop at the fair is always the iconic coupon booth. Can't do or eat a whole lot without gettin' your coupons first! Next stop... yes, even if it's 10:30 am, is the Fletcher's Corny Dog stand. Mmmmm mmmm, my taste buds are watering just thinking about it! Breck enjoyed his first of many many corn dogs to come!
Animal Barn
Oh, the midway
This was Brady and Breck's first year to really experience the midway and all it had to offer in the thrilling rush of stomach dropping excitement! The boys rode lots of rides and loved every one... no fear here! They even loved the steep drop on the log ride and rode several times. Brian was a trooper and stepped in to ride with the boys since my 9th month pregnant self couldn't possibly fit!
Arboretum
Farmers Market
Gotta love the farmers Market in the fall! We love picking our first pumpkins of the season out here and the boys love climbing all over them! We started out with Breakfast in the pavilion and enjoyed the beautiful weather, flowers and pumpkins afterward. It's such a great time of year here in Tx... with so much to look forward to on the horizon!
LH football game bound
Here are some of our future LH wildcats! Brian and Brady were accompanied by Jamie and Jack and had so much fun together! It was such a nice night, so they all walked over to the stadium where the Dad's proceeded to load the two boys up on mega doses of suger with cokes and m&m's. The boys were wild on their walk home.... pretty funny... I think I heard them coming from halfway up the street!
Our Adorable Godson
!st Day of Preschool
Here's my handsome Brady on his first day of preschool! I'm so glad he was happy this morning! I'm also glad we waited until he was 4 to start....I love that he had 4 solid years of getting ONLY the influences from his home environment and what Mommy and Daddy teach! Plenty of time and years ahead for school in my humble opinion and just a few precious years where our child is in an environment soaking up ONLY the morals, values, and teachings that we wanted him to be exposed to. Don't worry folks, we DID let him out of the house these past 4 years, Brady has had wonderful opportunities to socialize with other children through lots of playgroups, playdates, kindermusik, little gym, swim lessons, soccer tots and MOPS! He's our precious first born and we love him to pieces.
Soccer time
This was the first year Brady was on a 'real' soccer team. He completely looks the part, don't you think?! Our sweet little shy guy Brady became the Terminator at practice with his own team on their familiar practice field, but when it came to games... that was another story! Poor little guy was intimidated by the huge game playing field, the other team and coaches, and the hundreds of other soccer players milling around. At the games, we were lucky if Brady got his hands out of the dirt and stood up on the field. Oh well....he is 4 after all:) We'll see what happens next season!
