Such a busy busy time of year... and of course packed with a million memories. The gingerbread decorating party was fun and all the boys were very creative! Half the fun is eating the candy and 30 minutes later presenting with an excellent sugar rush. The boys really enjoyed decorating the tree this year.. not once but twice. After 35 years of massive congestion, sneezing, and watery eyes, I realized that it was our LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE causing this every Dec. We always make a big deal out of going to look for just the right tree as we did this year. After 24 hours of it in the house, we had to call and have it returned. Thank goodness we got our money back and of course that only paid for half of the FAKE tree we will have for the next several years. What a weird moment to un-decorate your tree, then have someone come into your house and take it away. Wonder what the neighbors thought?! I had to take the kids out of the house when that happened so they wouldn't be sad. We spend the next 3 days searching furiously for fakeness. Not what I like, but apparently it's what my nose likes.
